It is best to have this completed BEFORE you leave to ensure that it is completed.<\/p><p>Upon completion of an elective, students will receive an emailed evaluation from our Visiting Electives office to be completed online.<\/p><p><strong>N95 Respirator Mask-Fitting<\/strong><\/p><p>Visiting students scheduled to attend Alberta Health Services (AHS) sites must be fitted with an N95 Respirator Mask as per policy standards. These respirators are required by AHS for encounters with certain types of infectious disease such as influenza, H1N1, SARS, tuberculosis, Varicella, Measles, dust and mold and are available on unit carts for use if needed.<\/p><p>Each student engaging in a teaching-hospital placement is required to carry evidence that this requirement has been met. It is expected that students from outside Edmonton will arrange to meet this standard within their local university according to guidelines set by their Occupational Health and Safety Office.<\/p><p>You must come prepared:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Ensure you are clean shaven<\/strong> or you will not be able to be fit tested. Men with beards or any stubble cannot be fit tested.
