All elective experiences will begin on a Monday and end on a Friday. Memorial University will consider permitting up to 8 weeks of elective experiences for visiting learners, with a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 weeks duration per elective. Select specialties are only able to accommodate 2 week rotations.<\/p><p><span data-sheets-value=\"{\" data-sheets-userformat=\"{\">A separate application is required for each elective experience.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h5>\u200bContacting preceptors\/departments<\/h5><p><span data-sheets-value=\"{\" data-sheets-userformat=\"{\">Applicants are not permitted to contact clinical disciplines or preceptors at any time to arrange an elective and doing so may be considered a breach of professionalism. All elective requests must be made through the AFMC Student Portal. An elective application does not guarantee an elective experience. Availability will be determined by the space and preceptors available at the time of the requested elective.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h5>Processing times<\/h5><p>Our commitment and priority is to accommodate training for learners in the MD program at Memorial University.
